The treatment experience

We start with a deep cleanse of the face before applying a prescribed peel. We then infuse the skin with trans epidermal vitamins and minerals. Next our Bio-Algenate mask is applied to help hydrate and infuse serums.

Common questions

 

  • A consultation with a Skin Specialist is required for prescribed home-care prior to treatment.

  • Depending on the depth of peeling achieved in the treatment, your Skin Specialist will advise the best course of post care.

    We always recommend the use of sunscreen to prevent sun damage to the skin. Sunscreen with SPF 30 or above should be used daily.

  • Depending on your skin concern, your Skin Specialist will select the appropriate medical grade peel for you. The peels dissolve ionic bonds to loosen dead skin cells, which facilitates hydration and penetration of active ingredients, while stimulating collagen in the dermis.

  • Chemical peels are beneficial in helping to improve the surface of the skin and allow for greater absorption of active ingredients to help treat various skin conditions.

  • Depending on the depth of the peel, results may take up to 7 days. However, many people can see an improvement in the appearance of skin tone and texture immediately.

  • Peels can be used as a stand-alone treatment or as part of a prescribed course.

  • Every 2-4 weeks, unless otherwise recommended by your Skin Specialist.

  • There may be slight tingling during the peel.

  • Depending on the depth of the peel you might experience slight shedding of surface layers of skin for up to 3 to 7 days after.
